I'm hungry - what are my options?
Hmmm...shall I cook for myself?
The Beach Escape is fully self contained and features a kitchen with a microwave, oven, gas stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, tea and coffee facilities as well as an outdoor BBQ. Everything you need to cook up a storm is provided for your convenience. All you need to do is to bring your food with you, catch it with a fishing rod, buy it from the local shop or buy it on the way to The Beach Escape.

If you don't feel like cooking or need groceries, there are a number of options available to you as follows:
Primrose Sands
The Primrose Sands General Store
What: Groceries, take away food, including pizzas on Friday and Saturday nights
When: Monday to Saturday 7am - 7pm. Sunday 8am - 7pm.
Where: 1 minute walk from The Beach Escape
Our take: We go there for takeaway foods, petrol (it is generally cheaper then Hobart) and supermarket goods including bread and milk.
Primrose Sands RSL
What: Counter meals Friday nights. Sunday roast from 12pm.
When: Monday to Friday 1pm until late. Saturday 11am until late. Sunday 12pm until late
Where: 415 Primrose Sands Rd. About 3 minute drive from The Beach Escape.
A courtesy bus operates to/from the RSL.
Our take: We haven't actually been there for a meal yet - we must get there! If you go please let us know what you think.
Reel Calamari Fish Van
What: Takeaway fresh fish and calamari (and chips of course!)
When: Varies (although usually Friday - Sunday night). Check their Facebook page.
Where: At the RSL - 415 Primrose Sands Rd. About 3 minute drive from The Beach Escape.
Our take: We aren't into fish so this is not our scene - however we have heard good things about it as the calamari are caught by the owners fresh.

Dunalley
Dunalley is approximately 15 minutes drive from The Beach Escape. It is a fishing town with a friendly Hotel, a popular fish market, bakery and more.

Our take: Great Australian pub meals at a good price and a decent serving. Recommended.

Our take: Not being fish eaters this is not really for us - we've had their chips before and they were good. Heard many good things however. Give it a go.

The Cannery Dunalley

Our take: This place is new to us and we haven't been there - however our Facebook feed has been full of rave reviews. Suggest you check it out and let us know!

Bangor Vineyard Shed
What: Award winning cellar door and restaurant a variety of dishes matched to their homegrown wine range .

Where: Arthur Highway, just past Dunalley on the way to Port Arthur. About 20 minute drive from The Beach Escape.
Our take: We haven't eaten there, however we have stopped for a wine tasting, with some great tasting wines. There were lots of people enjoying the cuisine, and there was plenty of space for kids to run around ourside - and the views were great!

Dodges Ferry
Dodges Ferry is approximately 15 minutes drive from The Beach Escape. It is sea side hamlet with many food options, including a hotel, bakery, supermarket, butcher and more.

Where: 60 Carlton Beach Road 7173 Dodges Ferry. About 20 minute drive from The Beach Escape.
Our take: It is a small supermarket that will cover most of your needs. They also do hot chickens.
Sorell
Sorell is the major town closest to The Beach Escape and is approximately 20 minutes away. It caters for most needs with supermarkets, banks, hardware stores, pubs/hotels, a gym and many places to eat.
Coles / Woolworths

McDonalds / Subway / KFC / Dominos / Legs 'n' Breasts / Breadd / Indian Kitchen / various cafes, restaurants and pubs
